At 12:15 the start of the first mixed relay of the season, as well as the last test before the Beijing Olympic Games. Italy is playing the best cards in this format, to make room for an unprecedented couple in the Single Mixed, scheduled from 14:45.

Unlike what will happen in Beijing, today the first two fractions will be men and women will close. Given Hofer's absence, Italy ranks the best quartet available, with Bormolini, Windisch, Wierer and Vittozzi. Among men, today's one could be a decisive test to decide who will be the owner of the Olympic Games.
In light of the seasonal results and the Sprints, Italy can aim for the top 5, but the podium seems far away. In fact, three nations start a step above the Azzurri, who could instead compete with France and Russia, at the start with reworked formations without athletes such as Fillon Maillet, Jacquelin and Loginov.

Norway is favored, with the brothers Boe, Roeiseland and Tandrevold. The norge have won both races of last season and three of the last five disputed and have not come down from the podium since December 2018. The most accredited opponent seems to be Sweden, at the start with the very titled Samuelsson, Ponsiluoma and the Oeberg sisters, but beware to Belarus which this year found two high profile men and could be a candidate for the podium.
