Biathlon: Saverio Zini and Federica Sanfilippo sign the Sprint of the Italian Cup in Forni Avoltri

The competitions of the youth categories are decidedly more fought. Among the Junior men, the successful standard bearer of the Alpi Marittime-Entracque Ski Club was Nicolò Giraudo, who despite one more mistake than Stefano Canavese (CS Army) managed to win the race with an almost 6 ”margin on the Cuneo area. Fourth position for the Fornese Fabio Cappellari (SS Fornese) who missed the podium for about 22 seconds. Among the women juniors, an affirmation for the Aosta Valley Alessia Martini (Bionaz Oyace Ski Club) who preceded Gaia Brunello (CS Carabinieri) by just 2 ”9 and Laura Sciarpa (Ski Club Valdigne Mont-Blanc) by almost 15 seconds. Good satisfactions for the Friulian colors came from the youth category at the male level, where Alex Perisutti (SS Fornese) won today's sprint with a good advantage over the Alto Adige Christoph Pircher (ASV Ridanna) and Davide Compagnoni (GS Yellow Flames). Fourth place for Sappada Mattia Piller Hoffer (GS Carabinieri), sixth for Cesare Lozza (SS Fornese) and eighth for Pietro Pallober (ASD Monte Coglians). Victory with the FISI Friuli Venezia Giulia Committee also among the aspirants, where the Ovarian Desiree Ribbi (ASD Camosci) dominated today's sprint trimming over a minute and a half to the first of the pursuers Carlotta Gautero (Ski Club Alpi Marittime-Entracque) and placing a serious mortgage on tomorrow's pursuit as well. In the same race, a good seventh place for the Friulian Maya Pividori (ASD Monte Coglians) and tenth for the Fornese Sophia Polo (SS Fornese). Among the male aspirants, success of Michele Carollo (Ski Club Alpi Marittime-Entracque) with the Fornese Marco Da Pozzo (SS Fornese) who finished in ninth position, while the Aosta Valley success among the girls of the young category with Alice Pacchiodi (Asd Vvf Godioz ) who preceded the fellow countryman Giorgia Saracco (Sc Brusson) and the Gardena Sophia Alice Planker (Gardena Raiffeisen). Seventh position for Giada Monegato (Asd Monte Coglians). On Sunday, starting at 9.30, today's gaps will start again to determine the winners of the first Pursuit of the season.
