Tarjei Boe best manages the Mass Start which closes the Oberhof program where the Austrian Leitner climbs on the podium for the first time. An excellent Lukas Hofer is fourth, 5 seconds from the podium, despite two errors.

After the first polygon Lukas Hofer finds himself at the head of the group and which are missing, due to an error, Samuelsso, Johannes Boe, Peiffer. Quentin Fillon Maillet runs twice as well as the German Benedikt Doll and the Swede Ponsiluoma.
In the second lap the blue gets behind the Norwegian duo Laegreid - Dale while Johannes Boe and Peiffer manage to get back into the very large group. Jacquelin is the fastest on the second polygon on the ground with him Weger, Lesser, Laegreid, Tarjei Boe. A penalty lap for Hofer and Windisch who find themselves around the fifteenth position at 25 seconds, Johannes Boe still misses, at 31.4 seconds.
In the third lap comes the attack of Tarjei Boe who, however, fails to make the hole and in the first standing session they show up in 13 in 25 seconds. The German Lesser, Tarjei Boe, Weger, the Austrian Eder and Eliseev come out in front of it. Windisch is tenth at 27.8, Lukas Hofer with Johannes Boe, after another round of penalty they are at 33 seconds with Fillon Maillet and Jacquelin.
Again Tarjei Boe tries to force the times but is wrong; Weger, Eder and Leitner meet without blemish. Tarjei is at 8.6, Lukas Hofer fifth at 17.6 ahead of Lesser. One round of penalty for Johannes Boe, two for Windisch.
On the last climb Tarjei Boe greets the company and wins the finish with 3.6 on Leitner on the first podium in his career and 7.8 on the Swiss Weger. Lukas Hofer is fourth at 12.5 after overtaking Eder in the sprint.
