From Wednesday & Igrave; take & agrave; off from Cheile Gradistei, Romania, the '2016 edition of the World Youth Championships in biathlon. As has been the case for three decades happening both competitions of the junior category, and those of the youth category.

The event has already seen the light & agrave; in 1967 in the men, while women have to wait until 1989. However, initially there was talk only of "World Junior". Since 2002, we were also added youth competitions, reserving the classes et & agrave; lower.
This season the junior tests are nominally reserved for athletes born in 1995 and in 1996. & nbsp;
Youth competitions have instead entitled to attend those born in the years 1997-2000.
Nothing to & ograve; prohibits could enroll an athlete still et & agrave; youth to a higher category. Indeed, in the past & egrave; happened to see girls youth medalists in the junior tests. Without wishing to disturb the 'blatant case of Magdalena Neuner, the examples pi & ugrave; Recent are those of laura dahlmeier, Anais Chevalier and Franziska Preu & szlig ;.
The 'facility is located in Transylvania, in the vicinity of the city & agrave; Brasov, and so far internationally it hosted un''unica event, namely the World Championships in roller ski biathlon last August.
