The 24-year-old Frenchman "chooses" the World Championships to win his first career victory.

Emilien Jacquelin, after a Pursuit in which he was perfect at shooting, finds himself on the last lap to play for the Gold medal with Johannes Boe, burdened with two shooting errors. Halfway through the lap, the Norwegian with a surplace bike lets the Frenchman go ahead signing his destiny. He cannot pass the transalpine that appears on the final straight to the rope and wins the victory of a gluing. The winner of yesterday's Sprint Alexander Loginov is third at 23.9, dominating the race until the last shooting range where a mistake forces him to settle for the Bronze medal.
