Hofer with some regrets for the Sprint, but his head is already in pursuit: I don't have to do calculations

Day with more shadows than lights for the blues of biathlon, today engaged in the Men's Sprint of the World Championships in Anterselva. Tomorrow, however, there is already an opportunity for redemption with the Chase scheduled at 3.15pm.

Although they were not among the favorites on the eve, both Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch could be considered outsiders and had all the credentials to enter the top 10. And instead, in the Sprint won by Alexander Loginov on Fillon Maillet and Fourcade, the best Italian was 21st. Overall Hofer gave positive signals, both on skis and at the shooting range, where he missed one target too many, as he himself declared in the post-race: "Today it was really difficult to be able to bring home a good result - said Lukas to Fisi.org -, they all went very strong. I have some reason to regret myself for the last shot of the second series, I started it too quickly and it forced me to a penalty ride which cost me precious time. Let's think about pursuit without making too many calculations, it will be important to be precise at the polygon and think polygon after polygon ”. Even more disappointed was Dominik Windisch who, after a decent start, was wrecked in the second part of the race, finishing 48th: "It was certainly not the race I wanted to play, the mistakes at the shooting range cost me a lot. In pursuit I start from far but it is always important to give my best and see how much and if I will be able to reassemble positions ".
