Giacomel tries another great comeback, Moe goes on the hunt for records at Le Grand Bornand: the Pursuit starts at 12:10

Everything is ready in Le Grand Bornand for the Men's Pursuit: we start at 12:10 for a race that presents many interesting ideas. At 14:15 the girls will take to the track instead, before the Mass Start on Sunday.

In Italy Tommaso Giacomel will try another great comeback after that of Hochfilzen. In Austria, with bib number 20, the Trentino rider climbed up to 6th place, but today he will start with number 21. The gap is 1'37" but "only" 37" from Timofei Lapshin's 5th place. For the blue colors there will also be Daniele Fauner, at the start with 51 and 2'46" to recover. Didier Bionaz and David Zingerle did not qualify. Here the IBU live timing! Here the starting list! In front Johannes Boe has the table set to conquer the third consecutive Sprint-Pursuit double and therefore the sixth victory in a row in the same season: a record that in the past escaped both Ole Einar Bjoerndalen and Martin Fourcade. The Norwegian will have almost a margin error (18”) on his teammate Sturla Holm Laegreid, who in this start of the season has finished in second place four times, always behind Boe. With bib number 3, 39" from the tread, there will be the German Benedikt Doll, who will precede Martin Ponsiluoma (+52") and the trio made up of Lapshin, Krcmar and Fabien Claude, all with about a minute to recover. As for the other Frenchmen, Fillon Maillet is 8th  at 1'10" while Emilien Jacquelin is 13th at 1'30". Johannes Dale and Christiansen start in the top ten and have the podium in their sights, while Samuelsson will have to try to comeback from afar (17th at 1'35").
