A Sprint that keeps you breathless until the last few bars opens the men's program of the Biathlon World Championships in Anterselva.

Alexander Loginov conquered the first gold medal of his controversial career and scored 10/10 at the shooting range with a second impressive session for speed of release and, thanks to the second half on skis, he imposed on a Quentin Fillon Maillet who makes the Martian on the track and, despite an error on the ground, conquers the second place 6.5 from the winner. A strong-willed Martin Fourcade takes home a 10/10 and in the last lap he recovers two positions to get on the third step of the podium at 19.5.
At the expense of the Fourcade comeback are the Boe brothers whose absence from the podium designates Norway as the great defeat of the day. Tarjei Boe is not mistaken at the polygon but does not have the rhythm to keep up with the best and is fifth at 22.5 while Johannes shoots everything in an impressive first lap, he has to pay a penalty lap after the polygon on the ground but in the decisive lap runs out of gas by paying the Frenchman about ten seconds. Fifth place for the World Cup holder at 23.9 from Loginov, just over 4 seconds from the podium.
The great French team performance is completed by Emilien Jacquelin fighting for a metal until the last lap; entered the top of the shooting range, he pays an error that would still keep him going for the podium but collapsed in the last lap for sixth place at 29.8. The best of the Germans is Arnd Peiffer (0 + 0) seventh who precedes his compatriot Patrick Horn ((1 + 1).
Lukas Hofer misses the first target on the ground and the last one standing and despite a good step on the skis he is twenty-first, first of the Italians, at 1''22 "3L; Thomas Bormolini with an error is in thirty-ninth position preceding a dozen of seconds Dominik Windisch who closes with the burden of 3 rounds of penalty.Only one mistake for Daniele Cappellari but an insufficient rhythm for a position beyond the sixtieth.
