The mass start of the biathlon opens the rich program of competitions of the Alpe Adria Summer Nordic Festival of Forni Avoltri

The biathlon boys will open the dances of the Alpe Adria Summer Nordic Festival in Forni Avoltri, an international event that for the first time in history will assign the summer Italian titles of cross-country and biathlon in the same locality.

The event organized by ASD Monte Coglians in collaboration with the Ski Cai Trieste will start tomorrow at 09.15 with the expected mass start male reserved for senior and Under 21 categories. In this test the expected protagonists will certainly be the two South Tyrolean Dominik Windisch (bib number 1) and Lukas Hofer (number 2) the two strongest Italian biathletes of the moment. Also to be followed by the tests of Thomas Bormolini and the home athlete Giuseppe Montello who in front of his fans could take away some satisfaction. At 10.15 will be instead the turn of the girls also engaged in the mass start. Also in this competition there will certainly be the show with the long-awaited duel between Dorothea Wierer and the Sappada Lisa Vittozzi. The latter has grown agonistically right at Carnia Arena International Biathlon Center will try to repeat the home plant the Italian summer title won last year in Anterselva. Great attention also towards the Japanese team that will present itself at the starting line with no less than 10 athletes, 5 in the men's field and 5 in the women's field that could be inserted in the upper levels of the ranking. In the early afternoon, more precisely at 2.15 pm, the young players of the Under 17 category will enter the scene, instead they will play an individual test. The awards are scheduled half an hour after the arrival of the last competitor in the finish line. The first 3 winners of each category will be awarded with FISI medals, while the organizing committee will guarantee prizes for the top 5 in each category.
