At 11:30 the start of the fifth Sprint of the season. It promises to be a hard-fought race, with several athletes aiming for victory, including the French Jacquelin, leader of the general. For Italy there will be Dominik Windisch, Thomas Bormolini, Tommaso Giacomel and Didier Bionaz.

The blue team lacks its technical leader, Lukas Hofer, who hopes for a recovery for Ruhpolding. The goal at home in Italy may be to bring the four athletes to the points. Windisch returns to the World Cup after a good period in the Ibu Cup, where he found confidence and excellent results; Bormolini instead presents himself as the best Italian of the season and wants to confirm what he did in December. Faced with the struggle for victory, it is more uncertain than ever. There doesn't seem to be a technical favorite, but many athletes could have their say.

Emilien Jacquelin for the first time in his career will wear the "yellow jersey" as leader of the general. As he himself confessed to the French media, the emotion is great but what matters is "bringing the jersey to Paris", making a cycling comparison. In the four previous seasons Samuelsson won, twice in Oestersund, Kuehn in Hochfilzen and Johannes Boe, who won in the last Sprint in Le Grand Bornand. The Norwegian champion, who has already announced that he will miss the next stage in Ruhpolding, said he had worked on his shot during the Christmas holidays, together with coach Siegfried Mazet. There is therefore curiosity to understand if something has changed in his performance on the pitch and if the shape on the skis has grown in parallel.
