Italy drops from the world podium of the Mixed Relay on which it has climbed, including the Olympics, from 2018. Third consecutive world title in the format for Norway

The mixed relay that opens the Pokljuka World Championships opens with a first non-tactical stage with Laegreid, Loginov, the Belarusian Smolski and Jacquelin boarding. From the first polygon on the ground the Norwegian comes out first and puts in a 5/5; Laegreid has a few seconds ahead of Fak, Samuelsson. They use two Jacquelin refills, Loginov and the blue Didier Bionaz who find themselves in about twenty seconds.
The Frenchman in exceptional form on skis manages to get back to the top positions and uses a standing 5/5 to bring France in the lead together with the Belarusian Smolski (0 + 1). Laegreid (0 + 1) finds himself having to recover at about ten seconds, Samuelsson (0 + 2) is further behind. The German Eric Lesser (0 + 4) and Didier Bionaz (0 + 3) are over 40 seconds. At the first change, Belarus comes first with a 4 second advantage over France, thanks to a fall of Jacquelin in the straight arrival, and on Norway. Fak (0 + 1) is fourth at 12 seconds ahead of the Ukrainian Pryma (0 + 1) and the Canadian Gow (0 + 1). Russia (0 + 3) is 30 seconds away with Sweden (0 + 2); Bionaz (0 + 3) one minute away with Germany (0 + 4). Johannes Boe and Quentin Fillon Maileet took off in the fourth lap. The Norwegian uses a single recharge and launches towards a second part of the solitary stage; two reloads bring the French to about ten seconds. Hofer makes no mistake, who goes up to tenth at 46.4 at the end of the shooting session. Boe goes wild on tight skis and shows up at the shooting range standing 20 seconds ahead of Fillon Maillet and Pidruchnyi; a single top-up for the Norwegian as well as for the transalpine and for Scott Gow (0 + 1), two for the Ukrainian (0 + 3); only one mistake for Lu8kas Hofer (0 + 2). At the halfway mark, Johannes Boe (0 + 2) is 40 seconds ahead of Fillon Maillet (0 + 3). Third place for Ukraine at 55.4 with Canada. Sweden fifth at 1.03.2 with Austria; Russia seventh at 1.12.9, Italy ninth at 1.40.4 with Switzerland, the United States and Germany.
In the first lap of his fraction, Tiril Eckhoff manages the advantage and, despite having to resort to two reloads on the ground, he maintains a 30 second advantage over Anais Chevalier who misses only once, like the Ukrainian Dzhima who is around with the Canadian Moser to 50 seconds. Wierer and Herrmann are not wrong and Italy and Germany are eighth and ninth at 1.25.00. The Norwegian (0 + 4) can manage two reloads standing up, the result of a wandering session, while Anais Chevalier (1 + 4) is forced to pay a penalty round better than Mironova (2 + 3) who pays two. Wierer (0 + 1) comes out of the shooting range in sixth position at 1.18.8 from the lead and 40 seconds from the virtual podium on which Dzhima (0 + 1) and the Austrian Zdouc (0 + 0) climb. last change Norway is first with a 39.3 advantage over Ukraine; just under a minute the Swedish Persson (0 + 1) and Austria; France fifth at 1.15.2; Switzerland (0 + 3) sixth at 1.26.3, Herrmann (+3) seventh at 1.29.1 and Italy eighth at 1.39.0.
Roeiseland misses three times on his feet but it is not enough to reopen the race for the Gold medal; Hauser (0 + 1) takes advantage towards the Silver while the last lap is called to give the verdict between Hanna Oeberg (0 + 2), Pidrushna (0 + 3), Simon (0 + 1) and Vittozzi ( 0 + 1).
Gold medal, therefore, for Norway of Laegreid, Johannes Boe, Eckhoff and Roeiseland who close with 27 seconds ahead of Austria and 30.6 over Sweden. Italy sixth at 58.9
