At 2.15 pm the start of the fifth men's Sprint of the 2020/21 Biathlon World Cup. Five blues in the race: there is the seasonal debut for Tommaso Giacomel. The Norwegian Laegreid is looking for his fourth win of the season to unseat Johannes Boe.

"Giovannino" is currently the leader of the overall standings of the World Cup but his throne is starting to creak. So far this season he has collected only one victory, in the first Sprint of Kontiolahti, and from then on the curse of the 50th victory began, which continues to elude him for seven races now. In Oberhof he is therefore called to send a signal to the aspiring rulers. First of all to the young teammate Sturla Holm Laegreid, second overall and fresh from the Sprint-Pursuit brace in the second stage of Hochfilzen.
