While waiting for the long-promised and desired re-opening of the track in Cesana, comes a good news for lovers of the sport gut. Last May, the Club Cortina Bob has prepared a preliminary project for the construction of a new bobsled, skeleton and luge avvincinare for young people to the practice of these three disciplines.

The designers of the Club Cortina Bob, James and Sebastian Da Riz DabalÃ have thought of using the initial part of the system of Ronco, closed in 1981 and the areas adiancenti to it, to make a gut a total length of 480 meters. The idea is to build a sort of bowl short, chilled of course, that allows to increase the number of practitioners of bobsleigh, skeleton and luge starting with children between the ages of 8 and 12 years. The total cost of the plant is about 600 thousand euro. The Bob Club Cortina is intended to cover part of the cost by requiring state funding, taking advantage of the open call by the Ministry of Sports and the Economy, for the development of new sports facilities or the adaptation of existing structures that would ensure entry of 480 thousand euro. The remainder of the budget should be covered with municipal contributions, the Province and the Region of Veneto. The future of this project is strongly linked to the outcome of this announcement. Indeed, if he will be promoted, the initiative organized by the Club Cortina Bob can be conducted otherwise it will remain only a dream. Pending such a verdict, the town in the Veneto region is preparing to host next Saturday, the Italian championships thrust.
