Bob: Francesco Friedrich completes the masterpiece, seventh world title as Eugenio Monti

The German champion writes a page of history in Altenberg dominating in the two-man bob; completely Teutonic podium, Lochner is silver more than 2 seconds from the Pirna phenomenon!

Francesco Friedrich writes another chapter of his extraordinary career, winning the seventh world title in the two-man bobsleigh, thus equating another legend of the discipline which is Eugenio Monti, able to win them from '57 to '66 even if, at unlike the German phenomenon, not consecutively. With today's one on Altenberg's gut, Friedrich has won 100 podiums overall, adding up the three main competitions, namely the World Cup, the World Cup and the Olympics; impressive numbers and destined to be updated already in this world championship event, on the occasion of the 4-man bobsleigh race scheduled in seven days. Four heats as a dominator and completely annihilated the competition: light years away, even more than two seconds overall, also the first of the pursuers, compatriot Johannes Lochner who even today has not completely convinced, but that nothing could have been even without committing imperfections. Beautiful challenge for the last place on the podium, all in a junior key between the German Hanninghofer and the Swiss Vogt. The two arrive paired with the same time before the last and decisive descent, while the German stamps a great heat, the Swiss commits numerous mistakes that even relegate him to fifth place, even surpassed by his compatriot Friedli who precedes the Latvian Kibermanis, disappointing even today, and the last of the Teutonic Hafer. The blue crew Baumgartner / Fantazzini concludes in 18th place, with the two today's descents that unfortunately do not follow the excellent performance of the second run of the first day.
