How do you ride a bob? The lesson of the pilot Patrick Baumgartner

Have you ever wondered how to ride a bob? In this video, the Italian national team driver Patrick Baumgartner explains how to climb, how to push and how to drive a two-person bob ... Find out with us!

The bobsleigh, considered by most to be the Formula 1 of ice, is certainly one of the most fascinating of the various winter Olympic disciplines. Moved solely by the "driving force" of the rider's and his brakeman's legs, the two-man bob has a minimum dry weight (ie body + skids) of 170kg, while with the crew on board it must not exceed 390kg for the male bob and 330kg for the female one. But how do you push a bob? How do you get inside its cramped cockpit? When do you brake? And above all, how do you drive a two-person bob? The answers to all these questions can be found directly in this video, and will be explained to you directly by Patrick Baumgartner, athlete of the Sporting Group of the Blue Flames, current number one in the Italian bobsleigh. Have fun!
