It would be a pulmonary congestion at the base of the sudden death of Steven Holcomb, the unfortunate bobbist who last Saturday morning had been found dead in his room at the Lake Placid training center.

According to the results of a first medical report issued by the Saranac Adirondack Medical Center, Holcomb's death would be caused by an abnormal obstruction that causes the blood to rise in the lungs. The same laboratory also found that there were no traces of drugs or doping substances on the athlete's body.
In the coming days, however, further analysis will be carried out this time at an independent center to give a definitive answer about the disappearance of the well-known American bobbin player.
The news of Holcomb's death has literally shaken the bob world.
