Biography: Alexis Monney, born on 8 January 2000 in Châtel Saint Denis, is a Swiss alpine skier specializing in the speed disciplines. After winning the downhill title at the 2020 Junior World Championships in Narvik, he quickly climbed the ranks of the Swiss speed team and made his World Cup debut in 2021. In the following seasons he claimed his first World Cup victory in the downhill at Bormio and collected several podiums in downhill and super-G, finishing inside the top ten overall and on the podium of the downhill standings. Monney has also won two World Championship medals, confirming himself as a leading figure on the tour’s most demanding tracks.
