The 2021 roller ski season with the World Championships in Val di Fiemme in September: here are the blues

The FISI has formalized the national team that will face the various commitments of the year of the restart, after the total blockade of last year. References Tanel and Becchis.

A real squadron, with even more hunger considering that 2020 was practically spent in the pits for all the protagonists of the roller ski world, with the various cancellations of international events. From team A, passing through young and observed, the FISI has formalized the names of the blues present in the national team for this 2021 season; Michel Rainer will always be the technical director, as well as Emanuele Sbabo the head coach of the men's team and Solange Chabloz of the women's team, who in team A counts on Anna Bolzan and Elisa Sordello. Among the men, however, we find Emanuele and Francesco Becchis, Luca Curti, Michael Galassi, Jacopo Giardina, Michele Valerio, Matteo Tanel and Riccardo Lorenzo Masiero. And it is already time for national calendars for roller skis, waiting for the World Cup program to be defined at the beginning of June. The first take is scheduled for the weekend of 12-13 June between Amatrice and Rieti, where a sprint and a mass start in free technique will be disputed, the latter valid for the absolute Italian title. On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June the circuit will move to the province of Trieste, with a sprint in Opicina and a mass start on the flat in Sgonico. Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July passage to Sassello (Sv) for a sprint and an uphill race in classic technique, followed on Saturday 17th July by another uphill test in Boscochiesanuova (Vr), this time valid for the Italian specialty title . On Sunday 25 July an uphill race in classic technique is scheduled in Grondona (Al), while on Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August it will be the turn of a sprint and an individual race in free technique in Pavullo (Mo). Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th September it will be the turn of Anterselva for a sprint and an individual free technique valid both as an Italian Championship and as a stage of the Italian Cup of the Summer cross country. Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 September the turn of Sovere and Rogno (both in the province of Bergamo) with prologue and ascent in classic technique with handicap start. Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September space in Bobbio (Pc) with a sprint and an uphill race in classic technique, while the month of October sees the stages of Cortina (Sunday 10 with a mass start in free technique), Trento and Val Bondone (Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th with a sprint of the Italian Championship and an uphill race in the classic technique of the Italian Cup), closing in Verrayes (Ao) on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th with a sprint and a mass start in uphill free technique. The world championships, we remind you, have been assigned to Val di Fiemme where, from 16 to 20 September 2021, there will be the fight for medals between sprint, individual, team sprint and mass start.
