Cross-country skiing: here is the calendar of the Coppa Italia Gamma until mid-February

According to some rumors we will start on 9 January with the Cogne stage. The evolution of the season will depend on the health emergency in our country.

Except for clamorous unforeseen events, the calendar of national competitions that will take place until mid-February has been announced. To kick off the new year of cross-country skiing at national level will be the stage of Cogne (9-10 January 2021), where the regional competition will be combined with the trials valid for the Coppa Italia Gamma. The following weekend it will be Alfadena's turn; the Abruzzo town will host two distance trials, one in classic and one in skating. The race in classic technique will be valid for the Italian under 18 title and initially a sprint was planned, which was then replaced by the distance test for logistical-health reasons. The participation of under 16s will be allowed to the stage and, in case of lack of snow, it will be recovered in a location chosen by the Organizing Committee. The weekend of Clusone (23-24 January) has also been confirmed, valid as a stage of the Senior Italian Cup and the Young Italian Cup. The sprints that will be held on the Bergamo track will also determine the title of under 18 and under 20 champion. The last confirmed stage on the calendar will take place in Pragelato, where a distance test in free technique and a mass start in classic are scheduled. For the under 16 there is a separate race, so that they can take part in both races of the weekend. The continuation of the season will be organized according to the evolution of the pandemic situation in our country, with the hope that several more stages can be played.
