Luca Aerni, born on 27 March 1993 in Châtel-Saint-Denis, is a Swiss alpine skier specializing in slalom and alpine combined. He became world champion in the combined at St. Moritz 2017, delivering one of the most memorable days for recent Swiss skiing. At the Olympic Games he won gold with the Swiss team in the PyeongChang 2018 parallel team event, confirming his value in team competitions. A regular presence on the World Cup tour, he has earned several top results and a slalom podium, standing out for his technical skills, versatility and mental strength.
