Biography: Stefan Luitz, born in 1992, was Germany’s leading giant slalom racer in the 2010s. A technical specialist, he claimed several World Cup podiums and a symbolic victory in the Beaver Creek giant slalom in 2018 after a head-to-head duel with Marcel Hirscher. He represented Germany at World Championships and Olympic Winter Games, also contributing to the team event success with a World Championship medal.
