Biography: Michael Matt is an Austrian slalom specialist who comes from a family deeply rooted in alpine skiing. Born in 1993 and brother of champions Mario and Andreas Matt, he has collected several World Cup podiums and victories, as well as Olympic and World Championship medals in slalom and team events. At the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang he won bronze in the slalom and silver in the team event, extending the family tradition at the highest international level. Over the years he has managed to reinvent himself after difficult periods, changing equipment and regaining competitiveness between the gates. Known on tour as “Michi”, he is admired for his refined technique, strong second runs and ability to perform when the stakes are highest. (aggiornamento: )
