Biography: Alois Vogl, born in 1972 in Bavaria, was a German slalom specialist who made his mark in the 2000s. The highlight of his career was his World Cup slalom victory in Wengen in 2005, ending a 14-year drought for German men in slalom wins. He also recorded several other strong results in the technical events, becoming a mainstay of the German slalom team.
