A lot of snow until dawn, then a splendid day when it was too late to guarantee a track that could hold trial and race. Skiing on the track for the girls in the hope of taking part in at least one race on Sunday (but the forecasts are not good).

In Rosa Khutor you can really see a bit of everything in terms of weather conditions and it is no coincidence that, from the total cancellation of last year's races, to the descent skipped today, on the Sochi 2014 Olympic track just the girls they can't compete.
Also this morning it went from another snowfall (until 6 in the morning), to a splendid sun that allowed at least the athletes to go on the track and view a slope that they have never been able to try, with the continuous cancellations of every training for the descent, from Wednesday until the one scheduled at 8 Italian before the race which should have started at 10.30.
The main problem is to clean up and manage a mantle that risks not being able to bear many passages and to guarantee a regular descent, as in the case of this morning with too little time available before the compulsory test. The forecasts are not good, given that it should start snowing again in the next few hours and also tomorrow in the race hours, even if the track (with the start lowered) will be a bit 'easier' to maintain to at least try to play a race .
The special red bib, Mikaela Shiffrin, who is training in Folgaria these days and had decided to give up the stage in Russia as she did in Val d''Isère (when they jumped both downhill and combined), this time she will also come out the winner . And not even the super-g were disputed (possible recovery in Crans-Montana? It will be discussed in the event tomorrow), he would have hit the target.
