And it is time for the first parallel slalom of the season, to end a weekend of Sankt Moritz already magical for the Italsci in pink, after the double in the super-g signed by Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone
On Sunday at 9.45 am, the qualifying heats will start and will involve the 63 protagonists of a race to which he gave up the great favorite, Mikaela Shiffrin, as already announced in the early afternoon to focus on the next races. There will be eight Italians in the race, with the aim of returning to the 32 that will compete in the final stage scheduled from 12.50 (it will start with the 16th finals).
It will begin in fact with 31 direct fights (only the French Lamure will start ... alone), but in reality it does not count the winner of the "duel", as instead from tradition in the final phase in classical style of the parallel. Each athlete, based on the sum of his times, will have to look for the qualification, with two heats scheduled for each one.
Sofia Goggia will be immediately in the race, combined with Petra Vlhova who is the seeded No. 1, then here is Federica Brignone with bib number 3 and then in the second challenge with Wendy Holdener, while Bassino will be in the fourth with a downhill rider like Corinne Suter . Nicol Delago will be in the sixth with Truppe, Della Mea in the 13th with Huber, Irene Curtoni in the 23 with Tilley, Peterlini to follow with St-Germain and Roberta Midali in the comparison n ° 29 with Danioth.
