Brignone wants another ski test before Ushuaia: “I’ll only go to Argentina if I’m able to train for a month”

Is Federica Brignone approaching Ushuaia and therefore that crucial training block needed to target a great winter?

Probably yes, although it is not certain that the La Salle star will be able to leave next Sunday, like Bassino, Goggia and Pirovano, her teammates on the elite team, as she wants to have another snow test before making a final decision about that month in Argentina, which would end around 30 days before Soelden.

First, if conditions allow it, she will have another ski test, with the possibility of returning to ski in Cervinia, where she had her only on-snow session of these past few months on 30 July (directly since 1 March, when she ended the season in Soldeu, ed.), “The possibility remains, but I won’t leave for Argentina unless I’m sure I can train for a month.

I wouldn’t even dream of doing it. Honestly, in Cervinia at the end of July it wasn’t as I would have liked. I’m feeling a little better now and I’d like to try again; I’ve also had some tests, and we’re deciding what to do with the medical commission. I’ll say it again: I’m definitely doing the season not just to take part, but only because I have goals and I’m at 100%.

Finally, I’m improving well, and after three months of preparation I’m seeing results, including in my ability to tolerate pain.”
