The 2021 World Cup begins in Zagreb, with another women's slalom five days after the one held in Semmering and which saw the domination of the Shiffrin-Vlhova duo broken, winning in the specialty for 28 consecutive races and over 3 years, with the Michelle Gisin's first career triumph.

And it is also hot in Zagreb, with temperatures well above zero that will complicate life and make the startlist even more important: the number 1 was caught by Chiara Mair, with another Austrian, Katharina Truppe, to follow her before the outgoing winner on the “Crveni Spust”, or a Petra Vlhova with a great desire to redeem Semmering's 4th place and defend, if not increase the margin both in the specialty classification and in the overall.
Bib n ° 3 therefore for the Slovak, with Michelle Gisin who will have the 4th and Mikaela Shiffrin, who had won the two previous slaloms (2018 and 2019, but the American also triumphed in 2013 and 2015) to that of last year where she finished second, well behind Vlhova, with the number 5 to seek a return to success even in his favorite discipline.
The first sub-group will be closed by Katharina Liensberger, second in Semmering (best result of her career) and with the goal and the possibility of signing her first seal in CdM, and Wendy Holdener with number 7. Before the six Italians at the gate of departure Irene Curtoni, who caught an excellent n ° 9 and will precede Rossetti, with 21 after the great 11th place last Tuesday on the "Panorama", Peterlini with 26, Della Mea (33, the Tarvisian is looking for a fundamental qualification) and, called to the company with very high numbers, Anita Gulli with 58 and Carlotta Saracco with 63, or the two Piedmontese specialists confirmed after Semmering.
As is known, we will not see Bassino and Brignone in the race, preparing the fast races of St. Anton.
