The Austrian sprinter makes an appointment for next season, after having also skipped La Thuile for the persistent problems in his right leg that date back to the 2017 injury.

Mirjam Puchner has to stop again, even if directly at the end of a season that saw the Austrian downhill racer having to live with physical problems once again.
It all goes back to February 2017, when in the descent tests of the Sankt Moritz world championships, the 27 year old from Salzburg fractured her tibia and fibula in her right leg; Four operations followed and the fifth will take place on Thursday, after having decided together with the doctors of the Austrian federation to intervene again on the injured bone, which has caused Puchner pain all winter.
“I didn't run in La Thuile because the fibula has never completely healed - Mirjam said - and we therefore decided for a new intervention. I can't wait to take this step, to then start again with the weeks of rehabilitation and return next season, I hope finally without pain ".
