A certain Max Blardone called her ready to fight for the overall World Cup, on the other hand the fifth place in the general classification of the last season is clear, with podiums obtained in five different disciplines and that first career success in the maximum circuit, obtained in the giant of Killington.
Marta Bassino is finishing the first phase of work with the elite group at the Stelvio: officially entered from this year in the team alongside Federica Brignone and Sofia Goggia, in reality the 24 year old from Borgo San Dalmazzo since last summer had been chosen by Gianluca Rulfi to form a trio that literally makes Italian skiing dream.
At fisi.org, the Piedmontese told how these first two (or almost) weeks of work on the glacier went: “It was great to go back to the snow, to see our teammates again and to have the Stelvio completely at our disposal. We had the opportunity to recover some of the lost time and set the job for the next few months - Marta's analysis - Six podiums in five different disciplines and the first victory are an excellent starting point for the season that is about to be born: work to raise the bar, starting with athletic training, also try a little something new to carry on my project and put it into practice.
The training programs are not yet fully defined due to the difficulty due to the coronavirus, but the starting point is always the giant; I will try long skis to improve on some aspects that I have very clear in mind also for super-g and descent, the goal is to consolidate what has been achieved in the past year and grow further ".
