Let's analyze the draft of the calendars that will be ratified in May (but they could also slip). The number of giants and slaloms has remained unchanged, less weekends with fast races and a triptych of both combined and parallel races.

Not a few things will change in the calendar of the Women's World Cup 2020/21, compared to the one that just ended with the triumph of Federica Brignone.
Do you want because you go back to live a vintage with the great event placed in the heart of winter, or the world championships of Cortina set from February 8 to 21, do you want because the FIS has re-proposed the parallel of January 1 , invented the weekend dedicated to the discipline between Soelden and Levi, as well as some other interesting news.
We start from the number of races and their division, remembering that the draft calendars will have to be ratified in the FIS congress scheduled in Pattaya (Thailand) from 17 to 23 May, but with the risk that the appointment will be postponed for at least a few weeks. . Last year 41 events were originally scheduled (30 of them were disputed for the known reasons), with 9 descents, 7 super-gs, 9 giants, 9 slaloms, 4 combined and 3 parallels.
In the 2020/21 season, the races currently scheduled are 37: 8 descents, only 5 super-gs, number of giants and unaltered slalom (9 in both cases), 3 combined and 3 parallels.
Italy will not have La Thuile and Sestriere, as is well known, but will catch up with the giant Kronplatz on the splendid "Erta", the only race on our snows on January 26, 2021; nothing Ofterschwang (already skipped this year due to lack of snow) and speed weekends in the east, that is Bansko and Rosa Khutor.
The departure is clearly scheduled in Soelden with the giant on October 24, then here is the first news with the weekend of the parallel scheduled on November 14-15 in Zuers, in the Austrian area of Lech. The women will play a PGS on Saturday 14. Seven days later the classic first slalom in Levi, then on 28-29 November all in Killington, now a classic with the two days of giant and slalom in Vermont.
The triptych of Lake Louise (two descents and a super-g from 4 to 6 December) will precede the return to Europe with another fixed stage, that of St. Moritz with super-g and parallel slalom on 12-13 December. Tuesday 15 the confirmation of the giant of Courchevel (this time however at night as seen in Are the last years), still in Savoy the following weekend for alpine descent and combined (the first of the season) in Val d''Isère, as '' was expected in 2019/2020. The usual Austrian one-two year-end with giant and slalom will see Semmering return to the ball with the technical competitions of 28-29 December.
On Friday 1 January 2021 the parallel slalom in Davos, where there will also be men for the return of the appointment that had been canceled on New Year's Eve in the season just ended after the Oslo experiment, will open the new year and will precede 48 hours the traditional slalom in Zagreb (Sunday 3 January).
The speed will return to Sankt Anton on 9-10 January with alpine descent and combined, then again Austria on Tuesday 12th with the night slalom in Flachau (initially there was talk of turning it into a parallel), the return to the Coppa del Jasna world on 16-17 with giant and slalom at home Vlhova and the one-month advance of the two days of Crans-Montana, scheduled for 23-24 January with alpine descent and combined on Mont Lachaux.
After Kronplatz, here is the classic appointment with descent and super-g in Garmisch on 30-31 January before the World Cup; re-start of the cup on February 27-28 in Maribor, hoping that the giant and slalom will be played at that time of the year in a location always at ... risk. Finally March with the pre-Olympic speed races in China (Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 downhill and super-g in Yanqing), on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 the giant and the slalom of Are and the finals of Lenzerheide, scheduled from 17 to 21 March 2021 .
