The Dutch gigantist, 11th in the first giant on Podkoren (and had already been 10th in the Lech parallel), will be operated on in the next few hours in Innsbruck. He had just earned his pass for the Beijing 2022 Games, which now become his big goal for returning.

A real fairy tale, now forced to stop at its top.
Adriana Jelinkova seriously injured her right knee, with that exit on the opening wall of Podkoren, in the first heat of the giant number 2 of Kranjska Gora. The diagnosis arrived yesterday evening from the Hochrum clinic in Innsbruck (which had welcomed Aleksander Aamodt Kilde a few hours earlier), where the Dutch passport giant was examined and will be operated on in the next few hours for the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament.
A joke, if we think that 24 hours earlier Adriana, born in the Czech Republic, then moved with her mother to the Netherlands and raised on skis in the Salzburg region, at the Saalfelden school, had achieved the best result of her career in giant leagues, an 11th place with a particular significance, given that it met the requisites required by the orange federation to participate in the next Olympic Games in Beijing 2022 (even if the ratification of his appointment must arrive).
His absolute top in the World Cup dates back to the end of November, when he finished tenth in the parallel of Lech / Zuers (risking to beat the future winner of the race, Petra Vlhova, in the first rounds), to then consolidate between the wide doors with a 23rd and a 17th place in the two giants of Courchevel, before the great result last Saturday.
Goodbye World Championships in Italy, just for the one who has been skiing this year with Emilia materials (Carpani) and had made the big leap in quality, three years after the first points won in CdM, in November 2017 in Killington (25th in giant ). Now the classic recovery routine will begin to get back on track by the end of the summer, with the Chinese Olympics in Adriana's heart and mind.
