Finally ... Cortina! In all its beauty, the Olympia delle Tofane presented itself to the world this morning with a much harder coat than a couple of days ago, when the female super-g was then postponed due to fog.
Cold temperatures, clear skies and just a little wind (under control) to kick off the great show of these world championships so tormented in the early days of the inaugural week. It is Lara Gut-Behrami, at the start with the bib n ° 7, the great favorite for the world title which would also be the first of her career for the Ticino; however, there will be a lot of blue, with Bassino to inaugurate this world championship, among the various Tippler (comb. 3), Shiffrin world champion in charge and highly anticipated to return to speed (Mikaela will have the n ° 4), but also Suter, Ledecka , Lie, Gisin, Vlhova and many others.

It will be Marta Bassino who will open these world championships, having chosen bib number 1 to make the most of the track designed by Giovanni Feltrin. Federica Brignone opted for 9, forced respectively to 17 and 19 Elena Curtoni and Francesca Marsaglia, the other two medal cards of a four-pointed national team and all with important chances.
