The point is precisely this: among problems of various kinds, in practice the American ace has never done downhill training throughout the summer-autumn period. If he feels physically fit, the first opportunity for confrontation will be the two super-gs of Sankt Moritz on December 5-6, in which Shiffrin is clearly far from certain to participate (just as the reserve for the parallel of Lech / Zuers, which would not have played in its original date of 13 November), having lived almost to the day so far and also considering that it is not easy to find places that can allow it to carry out this type of work, excluding Copper Mountain where, in the first two weeks of November, he had to "recover" the slalom and obviously will not return, remaining in Europe for the whole winter.
And also among the wide doors we will see with which Shiffrin we will have to deal, she who played the last giant on last January 18 in Sestriere, in that crazy three-way challenge with Brignone and Vlhova, winners ex aequo with Mikaela third to a only penny. On December 12-13 in Courchevel we will have the answer.
