The Piedmontese and the first days in Breuil-Cervinia: "Super conditions despite the heat. After giant and slalom, now some speed".

A different, but equally high-quality preparation on alpine glaciers.
This is how even the stars of the women's national team are training in view of an ever closer season and in which there will be unknowns also in terms of daily work, given that it will not be possible to train in September in Argentina or even at November in Copper Mountain, after the cancellation of the North American stages.
So for Marta Bassino, but the same goes for Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone and the girls of the polyvalent group, who are also working in Breuil-Cervinia from last Thursday and until Wednesday 26 August, it will be essential to put kilometers of speed in the legs already in this period; in the shadow of the Matterhorn, therefore, the elite group started dedicating themselves to giant and slalom, but the last three days of training will also be dedicated to the descent, for this second August post Stelvio block.
The 24-year-old from Borgo San Dalmazzo spoke to the microphones of the Army Sports Center, which supports Marta since her first experiences at the highest levels: "Between work at the Stelvio and this week, we are carrying out a good preparation. We started by finding super conditions, despite the heat, and now we will also do some speed, since as you know we will not go to South America. Let's carry on the work on our glaciers and ... that's okay ”.
Adaptation, at every level, will be crucial in a particular season like the one that awaits us.
