The fog of Solda is now behind us, when on that cursed day of work on the snow of the town in the shadow of the Ortles, a speed fall cost Nicol Delago the season. It was December 1st and, three weeks later, we can say that the Val Gardena is traveling smoothly in the first phase of her recovery path. Of course, the year of the Cortina World Championships is gone and one of the best downhill skiers of the national team, certainly in perspective the one with the greatest potential in the queen discipline (even if a super-g podium has already arrived at Lake Louise ...) , will remain in the pits for a few months, with the Achilles tendon of the left leg knocked out. Nicol has already been able to remove the plaster and start working on the exercise bike: Mauro Caviezel, but if we look at the recent past, Manfred Moelgg and Aksel Lund Svindal also teach that this type of injury allows you to fully recover quickly enough, therefore the preparation for the next season will be complete, right from the summer work on skis. And 2021/2022 means the Beijing Olympics, after the experience as a very young person in PyeongChang and with the possibility, on the Chinese snow, to aim very high. Soon to talk about it, but the long road has already been drawn.
