Successful operation and the first step has been taken. Marta Rossetti ended up under the knife today, at the Città di Brescia clinic, with Dr. Stefani intervening on her injured left knee in training last week; the anterior cruciate ligament of the 21-year-old Italian slalomist was reconstructed, who was rising in condition after scoring important points between Levi, Semmering (with 11th place, best placement of her young career in the World Cup) and Zagreb, reasoning already in view of the Cortina World Cup.
The athlete of the G.S. Fiamme Oro will now be able to focus on the recovery path towards next season, the one that will lead to the Beijing Olympic Games. “Everything went well”, were the words of Marta after leaving the operating room. And now the road is downhill again.
