Friday (10.30 am) the first of the two descents in the Engadine, even if the weather situation is worrying. Curtoni draws the No. 2, Suter will start before Sofia with the No. 7. Gut-Behrami (No. 17) can aim high, but the forecast is open for the podium.

Despite the negative forecasts, with snow arriving in Sankt Moritz right now and clouds threatening a complicated slope, in terms of visibility when conditions are not at their best, it's time before the third downhill of the season for the women's World Cup .
After years, the queen discipline returns to Sankt Moritz, with a double appointment between Friday and Saturday before the super-g which will close the programme. Tomorrow, if all goes according to plan, off at 10.30 (with live TV on Rai 2 and Eurosport 1) with Jasmine Flury to inaugurate the descent in which Sofia Goggia, dominant in the two days of testing, will go in search of the consecutive trio of successes after the one-two of Lake Louise.
The specialty leader and reigning Olympic vice champion will start with the number 10, second blue on the track since Elena Curtoni picked up the number 2. Gisin and Miradoli will anticipate Ortlieb (n° 5), the closest to Sofia in the second race of Lake Louise and today with the thrill in practice, having gleaned a few meters from the finish line, fortunately falling without consequences.
Puchner doesn't seem to be too comfortable here, but in today's training he did better, then here's Corinne Suter with the number 7, she has always been on the podium in the three seasonal speed races held so far.
Mowinckel with 9, third time in the last race, will be the last before Goggia, then here are Huetter and Siebenhofer with 11 and 12, but watch out for Joana Haehlen with 14 ahead of Nadia Delago, who instead the big corners of the Engadine track seem to suffer a lot.
And after the break, with 17 Lara Gut-Behrami who can also do very well in these two descents, obviously in addition to "her" super-g, while the fourth blue in the starting list is Federica Brignone. Bib number 21 for the Valle d'Aosta, followed by Mikaela Shiffrin who confirmed her presence, with the need to defend the leadership of the general and after an excellent first race: for the American, first descent of the season which arrives directly after the triumph in that of the finals in Courchevel.
On the other hand, Petra Vlhova will not be there, as Marta Bassino has already announced, with seven blues at the gate and the list completed by Laura Pirovano, at the start for 24th, Nicol Delago (the same applies to her sister) with 30 and Karoline Pichler with on the 39th, out of the 52 registered athletes.
