Rumerlo's new finish area is ready to welcome spectators, media and athletes from the Women's World Cup competitions in Cortina d'Ampezzo, the Friday and Saturday descents and the Sunday super-G. But it will not be just a simple area of arrival, which will be further expanded for the World Cup in 2021.

"The finish area of Rumerlo is completely renovated compared to the past, with the grandstands widened considerably and a wider hospitality tent to offer better visibility to the public, who can thus enjoy the spectacle of the Great Ski" - explains the managing director of Cortina Foundation 2021, Valerio Giacobbi -. But next year the road will be moved, which will be removed from the finish area, creating an even wider amphitheater and forming the final area for the World Championships. And this is a legacy for the years to come, because it will allow us to run any type of ski race in a context of the highest level; and because the area will be usable even in the summer, thanks to a huge, perfectly horizontal green lawn with an amphitheater around, and with a fascinating view of the basin. It will become a usable area for summer shows and outdoor events: in fact, a new space for Cortina and for the whole territory ".
For the Cup a new accessibility plan will also be tested: for the first time a partial closure of the SR48 in the section between Cortina and Pocol has been agreed, both on Saturday from 9 to 10.30 and on Sunday 9 to 11 , 15. To reach the slopes where the athletes will compete, the public will be able to move with public transportation (urban lines 3 or 3A, more information on https://www.serviziampezzo.it/trasporto-urbano/), with free transfers ( departures from the exchangeable car parks in the Lungoboite area / Via dei Campi and in the Son dei Prade area), on foot (pedestrian pathway signposted from the center of Cortina) or on skis (with the Freccia nel Cielo cable car or arriving on skis from the parking area Son of the Prade).
