A new success for Sestriere, after the extraordinary one of last season that had seen the Milky Way return to the protagonist in the World Cup.
As the Turin edition of "La Stampa" reports, yesterday, during a video conference during the FIS spring congress, it outlined the guidelines on the long-term calendars of the maximum circuit, the Piedmontese organizing committee obtained a new stage by the international federation for the 2022/23 season, almost three years after that weekend of 18-19 January which saw Federica Brignone and Petra Vlhova triumph ex-aequo in an incredible giant (Mikaela Shiffrin arrived third with just one hundredth of a gap ...), before the parallel giant won by surprise by the French Clara Direz (with Bassino third and Brignone fourth).
And the races scheduled on the “Kandahar G.A. Agnelli ", on 20 and 21 December 2022. With the great goal of hosting the 2029 world championships that the mayor of Sestriere, a figure very close to the world of skiing like Gianni Poncet, would like to bring back to a symbol of skiing, 32 years later that magical world edition of 1997.
