Week-end in the "Queen of the Dolomites" for the Olympian, who is already thinking about the 2021 World Cup in a very special place for her.

On the Olympia delle Tofane he took the fourth of his seven World Cup victories, on 19 January 2018, but also his first red bib as a downhill leader, after beating his legend Lindsey Vonn (who will precede by only 3 points at the end of the season in the specialty standings) and before taking a really big risk, with the PyeongChang Olympics on the horizon, the day after Pomedes' schuss attack.
That plunge into the void that Sofia Goggia admired this Saturday morning, in the heart of "her" Cortina d''Ampezzo where she will spend a relaxing weekend ... relative, given that between e-bikes and climbing, right on the via ferrata in the Pomedes area, the downhill Olympian is very active at the end of a week that has seen her still work a lot in the gym in Verona, after coming down from the Stelvio where, in the last week of July, she put her skis back on followed by the faithful Gianluca Rulfi.
In about ten days the Italian champion will return to train, this time together with her teammates, in Cervinia. Spending a few hours in Cortina, with the welcome of the same mayor Gianpietro Ghedina last night at the restaurant on Col Drusciè, for the one who is also ambassador of the next world championships, Sofia can already mentally immerse herself in the great goal of next season, that is the '' world championship event of February 2021 in the “Queen of the Dolomites”.
“I love Cortina, it's always wonderful to come back to this place”. Simple words, but which say a lot about a very special feeling.
