Another surprise retreat: Nina Haver-Loeseth leaves skiing at the age of 31

The Norwegian, who has returned to great strength this year after Semmering's injury, says enough: "I had a good season, but the time has come".

A decidedly surprise retreat, more than those announced in the last few days by other colleagues with an illustrious palmares. In fact, women's skiing also loses Nina Haver-Loeseth, who at the age of 31 announced her farewell to competition with the classic message entrusted to social media. The Norwegian slalomgigantista does it at the end of a season, which represented the return after the serious injury at the end of December 2018 in Semmering, in reality really very good especially between the narrow posts; two fifth places immediately started in Levi and Killington, the 6th final place in the slalom ranking and, in the last race held, the 4th place in Kranjska Gora to demonstrate how competitive it was still. With 166 bibs in the World Cup, two victories between the Santa Caterina Valfurva slalom in January 2016 and the Stockholm city event two years later, but also six other podiums and the Olympic bronze medal in the team event of PyeongChang 2018, the Scandinavian has regrets: "It was a season that gave me joy, but I simply thought it was time to stop - Nina said - It is the end of a wonderful adventure"
