Alexis Pinturault in "reconnaissance" on the Col de la Loze: "See you here for the arrival of the Tour"

The transalpine champion carried out, together with France Télévisions, the inspection of the toughest climb of the next Grande Boucle, scheduled for September 16.

While teammates put km in the legs skiing in the shadow of the Matterhorn, Alexis Pinturault grinds km on the pedals, waiting to return to the snow in August, after the expected six-week preparation block, which follows the first snow training in Val d''Isère in June. The Courchevel champion, however, allowed himself a day a little different from the usual yesterday, carrying out a real bicycle reconnaissance on the roads of the next Tour de France (a bit like Martin Fourcade did on the last week on the Pyrenees, together with the runners of Arkéa-Samsic and B&B Hotels-Vital Concept). Alexis, in fact, has climbed the Col de la Loze, considered the hardest climb of the next Grande Boucle, in what will be a decisive fraction with the arrival at 2300 meters above sea level on the mountain above Meribel, which will host the Tour next September 16. Together with the coach of the French national cycling team, Thomas Voeckler, and the journalist Nicolas Geay, the combined world champion cycled on the way home, close to those tracks that in the winter of 2023 will see him protagonist of "his" championship in world, that of Méribel-Courchevel. The images of the reconnaissance will be transmitted on the day of the stage by France Télévisions: “It is a very demanding climb, a real challenge - the words of Pinturault after more than two hours by bicycle - We will see you here next September 16 for a great show ".
