Campiglio ahead of all. Now consolidated by the blazing success of the last four editions after the expected return to the men's Alpine Ski World Cup program, the 3Tre is considered a cornerstone in the annual program of the white circus which on the mythical "Miramonti" managed to attract an audience as not seen since the time of Alberto Tomba, guest of honor last December in the edition sealed by 17 thousand spectators.
The official delegation of the FIS formed by Markus Waldner and Emmanuel Couder, respectively Chief Race Director and Coordinator of the men's Alpine Ski World Cup, who in recent days has carried out the usual technical inspection together with the President of the Organizing Committee Lorenzo Conci and his staff, was therefore an opportunity to reiterate the well-established format of the event, which at the last FIS meeting was confirmed in the World Cup calendar for the season 2021/2022.
"We are particularly pleased with the relationship developed with the International Federation in recent years, reinforced by the outcome of the event since his return to the World Cup," said Lorenzo Conci, Chairman of the 3Tre Committee. "Also this year, the analysis carried out by the FIS on the technical coefficient of the World Cup races confirmed Madonna di Campiglio and the Canalone Miramonti at the top of the rankings in the slalom. Moreover, great success has been the novelty of the transparent tunnel that led to the starting gate at 3Tre 2017: it is an innovation that we will probably also see in other Cup venues, and we are happy and proud to have been the first to propose it. "
The next December 22nd, however, there will be some small but significant changes. The first consists of the schedules, given the contemporaneity with the pre-Christmas round of Serie A football and the main championships: for television reasons the two heats of the slalom of Campiglio edition n. 65 will be brought forward by two hours, and will take place respectively at 3:45 pm and 6:45 pm, a time that will not deprive the audience of the thrill of the night challenge. Thanks to the particular time allocation, the race will also be broadcast in Italy on Rai 2, ensuring its visibility and further impact with respect to the general public.
In 2018, the fixed date of the 3Tre falls on Saturday, which suggests that the event could attract an even bigger crowd: "Our event is and wants to be a party for many old and new friends eager to share an emotion timeless ", Conci continued.
Also for this reason, the Campiglian event will renew the commitment of the "3Tre on Tour", the promotional tour in Italy and abroad that will develop from September onwards in about 20 stages. The official Tour program will be announced in the coming weeks.
