The two men's slalom in Chamonix confirmed by the FIS: appointment on 30 and 31 January

Green light after the snow check carried out during the day: they will be the last two specialty events before the Cortina World Cup. Last year Noel won but it happened ... of everything.

They will represent the eighth and ninth round of a very rich season between the narrow poles, sixth and seventh slalom of a "crazy" month of January, the last specialty stage before the World Championships in Cortina (then the jet men will go to Garmisch-Partenkirchen on February 5-6). We are talking about the two slaloms of the men's World Cup scheduled in Chamonix, Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January; the French races were officially confirmed in the evening by the FIS, after today's snow check. We will compete, as last year, on the "Verte des Houches" which was supposed to host the return of the historic descent, before Covid changed all plans last summer. And so it will be double slalom, with scheduled heats times, for both competition days, at 9.30 and 12.30: the previous one in 2020 (it was competed on 8 February, with the PGS of the following day then won by Loic Meillard ) brings to mind the success of Clément Noel, the sixth in the career of the 23-year-old French specialist, with the Norwegian Haugan and the Austrian Pertl who climbed the podium for the first time (and so far only), at the end of a second heat where everything happened between comebacks and mistakes. A little bit what is happening even in this crazy slalom season ...
