From Cimone to Livigno, for a season that ended practically only in early May.
Giuliano Razzoli continued his spring for several weeks, making the most of the exceptional snow conditions found in many places. Also on his Apennines, since shortly after mid-April, the Olympic champion skied on the track dedicated to him, training in the company of a trio of young people like the one made up of Giovanni Franzoni, Filippo Della Vite and Tommaso Saccardi, from Emilia like him.
At the end of April, then, here is the return to Livigno for another block of work dedicated to material tests in the “Little Tibet”, thanks to the availability of Giorgio Scuri and Sitas. There is no shortage of stimuli at the “Razzo”, with a great goal in mind which is to close in a great way, at the age of 37, with the third Olympic participation.
The Villa Minozzo slalom rider wants the pass for Beijing 2022, after the exclusion remedied before PyeongChang 2018, in one of the most difficult periods of his long career; in the season just ended, Giuliano finished in points only on three occasions, with 7th place in Chamonix as the only top ten and earned him the pass to the World Championships in Cortina, where the first doors of the opening heat were fatal to him.
It is equally true that the Covid contracted in mid-December, a few days after the first cup slalom, on the Gran Risa and on the 3-Tre and in which Razzoli was unable to take part, also affected the first classics in January for one. specialist who, albeit only at times (think of the 1st run of the slalom n ° 1 in Flachau) and on certain slopes, has shown that he still has the opportunity to play something important. The stimuli and the desire, those, have never been lacking.
