He hadn't won since January 26, 2020, the day of the pearl in the Kitzbuehel temple, in a magical season for him up to that moment. The last two years have not been easy at all, but if Val d''Isère had already been a sign, now on "his" slope, the Canalone Miramonti, Daniel Yule has shown that he is back.
A dream trio in the 3Tre slalom, Campiglio is still at the feet of the Swiss specialist, who equals a certain Alberto Tomba in terms of victories in the Trentino slalom, as well as Henrik Kristoffersen who he beat, preventing him from personal poker, by just 8 cents.
After 2018 and 2020, it is still in an even year that Yule triumphs in Madonna di Campiglio: "I didn't know I had also reached a legend like Tomba, but only that at 3 I would have reached Henrik - Daniel told Eurosport – I love this place and this slope, for some reason I adapt well to the snow and already now ... I can't wait to come back next year!
I think the second moto was really good, after the mistake I made in the first one (which cost me almost half a second, otherwise it would have been much closer to Braathen); I heard the announcer shout that Henrik had done a podium test and I thought I'd do... fire and flames, pushing everything to the end. After all, it's still a great result, we're growing in this first season where everything is new: 4 podiums in 6 races aren't bad, even if 3 victories could have already come".
“With such a good result it is even more beautiful to go home and enjoy time with the family”, added Linus Strasser, third at only 18 cents from Yule, referring to the fact that just a few days ago he became a dad and, also for the nice German slalom skier, the night in Campiglio gives a very sweet Christmas.
