As is now tradition, Lake Louise will host the opening of the men's speed season (women will compete the following week), in a World Cup that will start again from Levi with the slalom of November 23-24.
Alberto Ghidoni's Azzurri program essentially follows that of the other big names on the circuit: so much work to do in Colorado, in an extraordinary resort to train like Copper Mountain, starting Saturday, November 9th, when the Italjet will leave for the States for then move to Alberta, where from Wednesday 27 November the tests of the descent will start, with few doubts in terms of track conditions, given that the snow is not lacking compared to the last few years.
The group is well established and, with the exception of Christof Innerhofer who worked separately at Stelvio, since he resumed skiing in August, Dominik Paris, Peter Fill, Matteo Marsaglia, Emanuele Buzzi and Mattia Casse have always trained together, including the period carried out in Ushuaia. At Copper Mountain, however, there will also be “Innerâ€, although its post-injury recovery phase has not yet been completed and only the first training sessions of a certain level with teammates (and the time-honored comparison with the rivals of others national) will be able to give feedback on its state of form.
Dominik Paris is clearly the beacon of a national team that, in that of Lake Louise, won in the last decade only with "Domme", but on November 29th 2008 celebrated in downhill the first victory in the World Cup by Peter Fill, that the next 12 November will turn 37 and is expected to return on a track of which it retains a sweet memory.
