The French beat the Croatian in the final, while the Swiss left in the semifinals with a thousand regrets. The same as Luca De Aliprandini, at the end fifth after throwing a huge chance in the quarter-finals.

If in the female parallel everything happened with a double winner, even the men's race was not far behind since, obviously, the conditions of the track and the "destruction" of the blue track also greatly affected the challenge between men.
In the end those who looked like they might be the two big favorites for gold, Loic Meillard and Alexander Schmid, were mocked in the semifinals respectively by Zubcic, who burned the (furious) Swiss for 2 cents, obviously recovering in the run decisive on the red track, and from Faivre, who then went to beat the Croatian in the big final.
