Sam Maes' season has already ended, for which 2021 has started in a very bitter way.
The Belgian talent class of '98 got injured last Sunday, during a training as a giant on the snows of Reiteralm, he who lives in Zell am See and is part of that project that is the Global Racing Team; the diagnosis was, unfortunately, the classic one with the rupture of the cruciate and the stop which will last at least 6-7 months.
No World Championships in Cortina and second part of the season, starting with the two giants scheduled for January 8-9 in Adelboden, after a very good start in Soelden, when Maes had obtained his second best result in the World Cup with the 18th placed on the Rettenbach (he had already been 12th in the giant of March 2019 in Kranjska Gora).
