No test on Lauberhorn today for the world champion, but other negative tests lead to think that it is a "false positive".

Vincent Kriechmayr finds himself, at the very beginning of a block of races fundamental for his season, with five speed events in just over a week between Wengen and Kitzbuehel, in a difficult situation.
The Austrian champion was stopped just this morning, thus preventing him from competing in the first of two tests in view of the descents on the Lauberhorn (which will be staged on Friday and Saturday), for a positive anti-Covid test. Apparently and as confirmed by the "Kronen Zeitung", however, there would be doubts about the result (it would be the classic "false positive") after the other tests are negative.
The hope therefore remains, at OESV, of being able to field Kriechmayr tomorrow at the start of the second training, clearly mandatory in order to compete in the downhill, with the first goal of the bi world champion from Cortina which would be the super-g scheduled for Thursday and recovery of the second canceled in Bormio.
